GREENPOINT CAPITAL

Founded in 2011, Greenpoint Capital has a 14-year track record as one of South Africa’s pioneers in Private Credit. Since inception, we have focused exclusively on Private Credit, deploying over R5 billion across more than 80 directly negotiated transactions.

With offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town, our team of 10 experienced professionals brings deep expertise in structuring, managing, and realising Private Credit investments. Our extensive industry networks enable us to originate differentiated opportunities and maintain a consistently high standard of deal quality.

Our investor base includes institutional multi-managers, asset managers, pension funds, insurance companies, as well as wealth managers and family offices. We take a long-term, relationship-driven approach to managing both our investors and our investee companies, partnering closely through changing economic and market cycles.

Investment Philosophy
Greenpoint’s investment philosophy is anchored in capital preservation, disciplined risk management, and the pursuit of consistent, risk-adjusted returns over time. We achieve this through a highly selective and refined investment process supported by our dedicated focus on Private Credit. This specialisation allows us to differentiate ourselves through a proprietary deal-sourcing network, deep sector insight, and an ability to respond swiftly and decisively to opportunities.
