The Senqu Capital Worldwide Flexible Hedge Fund is a fundamental bottom-up, actively managed fund focused on maximising long-term, risk-adjusted returns. The fund has been managed since 2017 and has a three-year CAGR of 20.6%. Our focus remains firmly on performance, while using the toolkit of a hedge fund to actively manage risk and maintain portfolio flexibility. With no index bias, all positions are built through bottom-up research leading to a highly differentiated portfolio. As a truly global fund, we allocate capital to the
most compelling opportunities – locally or offshore – without geographic constraints.

Investment team
Senqu Capital is an independent investment manager based in Johannesburg, founded by Stephen Carew and Andrew Crawford. The core team also includes analysts Daniel Friedman and Kgosi Mashigo, who work closely with the founders in driving the investment strategy. The team focuses on managing capital and building strong relationships with clients, while outsourcing all non-investment operations to best-in-class service providers. Senqu Capital is supported by Stockdale Street – the investment arm of Mary Oppenheimer & Daughters – which provided seed capital and continues to offer strategic guidance, a robust governance framework, and access to global networks.
