Gwyneth Roberts
Gwyneth co-founded FundNews Africa, the publishers of HedgeNews Africa, in mid-2009, and oversees all editorial and event programming.
Prior to launching HNA, she was the founding editor of AfricaHedge, the monthly newsletter published by HedgeFund Intelligence, part of the EuroMoney group. She developed the group’s coverage of the growing African alternative asset community, with an initial focus on South Africa’s hedge fund industry.
Gwyneth joined HedgeFund Intelligence in 2005, working previously as the deputy editor of AsiaHedge, based in Hong Kong. Prior to that she spent seven years at the South China Morning Post, most recently at the editor of the paper’s weekly investment section, Sunday Money.
She has a BA (English, Fine Arts) and a post-graduate diploma in journalism, both from Rhodes University.
Mark Caldwell
Mark Caldwell is a founding partner of HedgeNews Africa. Mark has had a long career in the journalism and publishing industry, and is a founding director of a Hong Kong-based company that provides media and communications services to blue-chip multinationals.
Mark has worked for a number of newspapers and magazines around the world and was an editor with the Time Warner group in Hong Kong from 1997 to 2003.
He has a B.Journ degree (Rhodes University, South Africa, 1983).
Lindsay Mitchell
Lindsay is the operations and events manager of FundNews Africa, with administrative oversight of all events, publications and products. She joined the team in 2011, initially as the events manager for the HedgeNews Africa Symposium and Awards.
She has indepth knowledge of the alternative asset management industry, having worked previously at Investment Data Services (now the Sanne Group) for four years.
She has a Bachelor of Economics and an MBA from Stellenbosch University.
