Bateleur Capital is a boutique, independent and owner-managed fund manager based in Cape Town, South Africa that was founded in 2004. With total AUM just shy of R20bn, their award-winning funds have developed lengthy track records of consistent real returns within conservative risk parameters. Investment team
Kevin Williams and Charl Gous are portfolio managers for Bateleur Capital’s various hedge funds, supported by a team of eight analysts covering both local and global markets.
Prior to founding Bateleur Capital in 2004, Kevin Williams had been active in South African capital markets since 1996, having worked on the sell-side for several international investment banks, including UBS and Credit Suisse First Boston.
Charl Gous has been involved in the South African investment markets since 2006 and joined Bateleur Capital in 2008.
